ELITE’s intentional focus on the teaching of Spanish to the English-­speaking population, and strengthening the Spanish home language, while developing the English skills of Spanish-­speaking students allows for all students to increase their marketability, due to their ability to communicate well in English and Spanish. The numbers of Spanish-­speaking students also show that there is a solid base of students who could benefit from the targeted English instruction, the dual-­language instruction and the Spanish instruction.

Students not participating in the dual immersion track will participate in Spanish lab for 30 minutes daily. Students will use technology-­based materials to learn Spanish at their own pace.
