Supporting and encouraging young scholars to reach their full academic potential requires a consideration of additional avenues for providing instructional opportunities. ELITE will work to expand learning (i.e. before school, after school, and summer) as both an essential element of education and an innovative space for schools and community partners to provide engaging programming. ELITE firmly believes that the best elements of expanded learning have an important opportunity to inform the future of teaching and learning year-round. The goal of ELITE’s expanded learning opportunities is to inform, educate, and empower young scholars as a catalyst to bring community and school members together to promote positive changes affecting the community.
